Take a look at this fine example of community partnership! With the help of the Boyle County Detention Center and the participants in the Shepherd’s House IOP Day Reporting Program we have our beautiful vegetable garden up and going. All the supplies, plowing, and tilling are courtesy of the BCDC from proceeds from their canteen sales, and the Shepherd’s House clients are working hard to make sure the weeds are out, the bugs are gone, and the veggies are coming up! Everything we grow and harvest will be used to feed our seniors at our facility, and our folks are anxious to start walking over and picking tomatoes and such right of the plant to take home with them. A big THANK YOU to everyone who has helped make this possible. This is a win, win, win situation for us all here in Boyle County!
